2008 Chicago Air and Water Show

On Sunday, I went to the 2008 Chicago Air and Water Show. It was a beautiful sunny day…perfect for hanging out on the beach and enjoying some extraordinary entertainment. Before I post my photos, I want to preface them with the fact that I don’t necessarily agree with the extravagance and waste that comes along with a production such as the air show. There is no doubt a ton a fuel used to power the planes…some may say for no purpose but to show the American’s military strength in the air. Regardless, I decided to take the show for what it was worth, and instead of harboring on the negative and damaging aspects, appreciate the marvels of technology, skills of the pilots and the large gathering of Chicagoans for a common purpose…to have a good time.

The Blue Angels were the perfect finale for the show. I still can’t believe how close together they were!
