Central West End House Tour

Saturday before last, my friend Dena and I braved the cold, rainy day and toured six homes in the historic Central West End of St. Louis. This was the first time in 20 years that these mansions were opened to the public, thanks to the Central West End Association. The homes on Lindell Boulevard are beautiful! Most were built in the late 19th century through the 20th and include unique details modern homes hardly compare to.

Dena, who was smart enough to wear a coat!

The perfect little girl’s room!

LOVED this fireplace mosaic!

Lookin for a chateau?!

It was interesting to see the improvements made to the homes to make them livable today, and I was happy to see so many of the original woodwork, archways and moldings intact. I got a ton of inspiration for when I purchase a home and get to decorate.

I LOVED how this home used an antique love seat at their dining room table!

Even the roof tiles were beautiful!

Two of the homes are for sale, so if you’ve got about a million bucks laying around, check out their listings HERE and HERE!
